Some general info about the hotel and Soustons...

The hotel lies just a few kilometers outside the town of Soustons, on the far south coast of the Landes region in the department of Aquitaine. Soustons is in the heart of Europe's largest pine forest, with 5 kilometres of ocean beach within city limits. It is 720 kilometres southwest of Paris, and 152 kilometres south of Bordeaux.

Souston's altitude is 32 meters and it is fairly flat, making a bike ride to the beach on cycling trails a breeze. The town has 6,873 inhabitants, and it is located 10 kilometers west of the A63 freeway, just off National Road 652, also known as "Road of the Lakes" for its five large lakes, each with its own personality.

To reach Soustons by car, take the freeway A63, Magescq exit, then follow signs for Soustons, onto Route de Magescq. About 4 km past Magescq, look for Hotel Dehiou signs and turn as indicated.

There are daily buses and trains from Dax, Bordeaux, Biarritz and Bayonne. By train, book for Dax: by air, Biarritz or Bordeaux. Rental cars available at all locations.
